Ack! We're almost halfway through 2026!

Well it's been over a year since our last blog post, but we promise we've been busy! haha!

Last year (2025) was the first time in years since we popped up during Merrie Monarch and at the Hilo Christmas Extravaganza craft fair! And boy, times have definitely changed since our early days at Sangha Hall during Merrie Monarch week! I think our first time was around 2015 or 2016 and at that time there were only like two or three main craft fairs in Hilo!

Now it feels like there are craft fairs, big and small, on every corner in Hilo! And while we love the opportunities for shopping and supporting local that it brings, we are definitely not meant for the two hour lines and shoulder-to-shoulder chaos.

That's why we LOVED popping up in Sesha's shop at Manono Marketplace on the Monday + Tuesday of Merrie Monarch week! It's just BEFORE the big craft fairs start, so that means less crowds, less chaos and more parking for our beloved customers! We hope it creates a more relaxing and fun experience for everyone!

Next up in 2026? We'll probably be popping up during Waiakea High School's 50th Anniversary celebration! It's gonna be the first and largest alumni event in WHS history! If you're a Waiakea alumni like me and Kara, make sure you SAVE THE DATE for "Comeback + Giveback Day" on Sunday, September 27, 2026! Visit www.waiakea50.org for more details!

After that, we're planning on popping up at the Hilo Christmas Extravaganza Craft Fair again (usually the weekend before Thanksgiving)...and hopefully the Sweet Patch Craft Fair (the second Saturday in December)!

Gosh, not sure where the year is going, but it's sure going by FAST! May is crazy busy with all the end-of-the-year school stuff...plus baseball, tennis, art, golf and more! But Summer is just around the corner and we can't WAIT for some sunny beach days ahead!

XOXO,
Tania + Kara + our MaruMaru minis
